LASIK is very effective for correcting myopia. It is true that a surgeon can guarantee 20/20 Vision - it all depends on how your eyes in the operation. If you are not 20/20 after the first operation, provided it has enough tissue of the cornea that a new treatment can improve and get to have it.

Go to LASIK center and get a consultation. Must be free, without an operation. A thorough investigation should be between one and two hours epidemic and your eyes can be extended. They must take the surgeon and the same principle should be able to say that the chances for you 20/20, and the opportunities they need a new treatment, if necessary by the glass (very thin - but if You can do this, the correction to be smaller than the current correction) - are dependent on the level of myopia.

The side effects or greater than the correction (can fix with a new treatment) or adverse effects of night vision devices - halos, glare and breaks during the night (with the cornea or custom wavefront treatment) to be overcome.

I had to do and it was one of the best things I did for myself. In the end I had better than 20/20! Four of my colleagues had done, and everyone is happy. If you are a candidate, and you have a very experienced doctor should obtain excellent results. Side effects are rare. The lenses are not required until about 40 years, and it is possible for the reader, that most people do not normally with age. When you receive your first exam, the doctor will know whether you are a candidate, and you know how to run the process. Good luck!

Yes, LASIK is certainly an effective treatment for myopia! Although not everyone can improve their sight again, and you free from glasses and contact lenses. It works very well for most short-sighted.
This is a surgical procedure is that there are risks, but they are actually quite weak and easy to fix. And there are many new technologies available to reduce risks and make the best result. (Check all Wavefront LASIK and Custom).
For this you need glasses, it is probably still wear glasses for distance, but when you get older (is over 40 or less), you probably need reading glasses. It is indeed all, including people who have LASIK.
It's pretty expensive if you really want and make sure you get a doctor who knows. Hope this helps,
Good luck!
